A formfeld wall panel combines design with acoustic function. Each piece becomes a true original through its algorithmically calculated, machine-milled surface structure. Similar to an abstract painting, it can easily be mounted on any available wall space. Its non-directional, organic pattern allows for installation on narrow and long sides. In addition to the four standard formats, custom formats can be produced upon request.

Characteristic of the golden-brown heartwood of the German oak that we use are the large pores and clearly visible medullary rays. The wood for a Formfeld wall panel comes from a single tree, resulting in a homogeneous color image. However, not all areas of the trunk are suitable, so we carefully select a high proportion of lamellae with standing annual rings by hand to obtain a calm grain pattern. Fine branches, convolutions, and inclusions are essential and distinctive authenticity features of the material. The wood surface is polished by hand in several steps and finished with a small amount of solvent-based wax oil. This protects the wood and preserves its color, similar to raw sawn timber. Over time, it will darken slightly.

The unique surface relief of the panel serves a dual purpose, not only providing a visually interesting design feature, but also enhancing the acoustic quality of any space. Its ability to diffuse sound evenly throughout a room helps to create a more pleasant listening experience, while reducing unwanted flutter echoes that can occur between parallel walls.

Typically, production of the wall panels takes between six and nine weeks. For micro-perforated variants, an additional two weeks may be needed to ensure the highest quality results.
